Baklava is perfect
I couldn’t wait to try this restaurant after seeing its perfect 5-star rating on Google. I honestly thought a perfect rating was almost impossible to achieve—but now I completely understand why! I came from Ontario to visit Saint John, and my daughter and I decided to try this Turkish restaurant in Uptown. We ordered several different dishes, and the restaurant itself was nice, clean, and well presented. However, as someone who is familiar with Turkish food, I was disappointed with the taste. Do a search of St John eateries and you come across only one 5-star rating buttressed by over 300 reviews, and yes, those folks got it right. When we travel, if they exist, Turkish restos are a top choice, and Sumac and Thyme is number one.
