Suki Yaki Inn

4.4

About this business

Sushi restaurants are hard to come by in the town of Spokane but do not fret because Suki Yaki is a first class Japanese haven. Made and served directly to you by the chef, you can watch the master at work and revel in the art that is sushi-making. Rolls are relatively inexpensive and there is a variety of other Japanese options if sushi is not your thing.

Oldy But Goody The Suki Yaki is one of the oldest restaurants in Spokane opening in 1946 it is still in its original location. The owner Emiko bought it from the founder over 15 years ago. I believe that it might not be as fancy as some of the new flashy sushi places that are coming to town that the quality of the entrees on the menu far exceeds any of the others in town.

Suki Yaki Inn Japanese Rstrnt is a place to skip. The restaurant is not a wonderful place to go. We found it unkempt and not too tasty. It has been there for years, but maybe shouldn't have been. Needs updates.

Authentic Japanese Delicious food at a great price in this downtown restaurant. The food is authentic and the service is great. They have table seating, a back room for groups and tatami rooms for traditional seating on the floor.

Great Japanese Food! I ate at the Suki Yaki Inn on a recent trip to Spokane. This is authentic Japanese food! We had a group of over 20 and were seated in a private room in the back. The restaurant atmosphere is nothing special, but the food was really good! We sampled a little bit of everything, sushi, sashimi, suki yaki, you name it, we ate it. My only disappointment was the ice cream. I will eat here again!

The face of a town with great dining always includes a good sushi restaurant. Suki Yaki Inn is one such in Spokane,Wa. Annie the proprietor is happy to share her knowledge of sashimi and makes several types of maki rolls. I would recommend the "Bean" japanese icecream for dessert made fresh in Seattle.

Awful!! – I grew up eating authentic Japanese food in a city with a food obsession, and Spokane has a few solid hits in Japanese/Japanese fusion cuisine. Suki Yaki is not one of them. I have eaten there three times in three years with my husband, and every time has been nothing more than mediocre. The food is barely passable as authentic, and at least one person in our party has gotten sick each time. The shabu shabu is probably the best thing on the menu, mainly because of the fun factor (you cook it yourself)...though, it ... read more
