THE BEST DRESS SHOP ON LONG ISLAND! – Well I read the last few reviews and I have to say that there must be something wrong with the people who wrote the reviews to have had such negative experiences at Sugarplum. From beginning to end I was treated with respect and I was able to view and try on in my size, an unbelievable selection. The dresses are not inexspensive, but not starting at $1500.00 either! SUGAR PLAUM REVIEW – THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD!!!!!!!! The only thing they offer is horrible customer service. The sales people not only rude but acted as if they were doing us a favor...The dresses are second rate at best. They put thre own labels on them to try and corner the market lol.. Nice try.. Beware of the seamstress!!! ALTER WITH CAUTION – I have been shopping here since 2002. Great selection of dresses. Great service with choosing a dress and choosing jewelry. HOWEVER, disastrous experience with alterations. This created un-needed angst during the week of my child's wedding. The alteration service was poorly scheduled, rudely executed and the alterations were sub par. I had to go elsewhere for the proper attention and fitting of my dress. THE SHOP IS GREAT. THE ALTERATIONS SHOULD BE DONE ELSEWHERE.
