Stay away from this company! I had an eye exam and ordered new lenses. They told me my new lenses cost $270.00, so I paid $270.00. I told the clerk to make sure to put on the receipt I paid that amount because I was going to turn it into my Aetna Insurance plan for a $250.00 refund for vision care. Behind my back and without my knowledge they billed a third party insurance company (Eye Med Vision) for $520.00 for the same lenses! Fabulous Frames, Great Service – My friends in Duluth recomended Sugarloaf Eye Care so I made the treck over and it was so worth the drive! They had the most amazing selection of designer frames I've ever seen in one place. The staff took their time with me and helped me find several frames that looked great, fit great, were at my price point and went well with my coloring. I am just SO pleased with the service - I recomend them to EVEYONE!!!

Friendly Staff, Best Doctors & Coolest Eyewear – I was very pleased with my service on several occasions. The staff is very helpful and the doctors are very knowledgeable. They carry some pretty stylish frames although now I don’t have a need for any as I recently had LASIK done. I had all my pre and post-op LASIK visits done here and they have been very caring and seem to go out of their way just to make you happy. 5 stars for the staff of Sugarloaf Eye Care!!!
Poor eyeglass lens grinding – I paid extra to buy a pair of Oakley prescription frames from Sugarloaf Eyecare and was disappointed to find that the eyeglass technician did not properly grind and position the lens within the frame. The lens was too large, causing a gap where the tiny screw holds the lens in place. My wife drove back to Sugarloaf Eyecare to have the lens fitted properly while I was at work. Awesome care from Dr. Christensen I've been in for a few years now for my appointment and various contacts. Dr. Christensen cares about his patients and does everything to make sure he gets your prescription right. Contacts can take a long time to arrive - but the office does its best to match your schedule for appointments.
Poor customer service & follow through! – I went in to get new contacts in time for a wedding I am going to be in. They were supposed to order a trial pair of lenses for me. It has been 3 weeks and they still don't have them. Basically, they forgot to order them for me. I now have no contacts to wear to the wedding. There glasses selection is OK, but I've seen better at other places. The doctor was nice enough but I am very disatisfied with the overall customer service and follow through on getting me my contacts.
Good Service My daughter recently needed new glasses. My husband brought her to the appointment. I later had a question about the bill. They were very patient with me & took the time to explain everything.
