We absolutely loved staying at sugar wharf apartment. The apartment is positioned in the heart of town. We enjoyed many lovely moments having dinners/drink/breakfasts on its al-fresco kitchen/balcony, and watching Macrossan Street wake up or go to town! We also used the pool and spa a lot, in fact we enjoyed those on our own a number of times. It never felt crowded. Our of all the pools we have seen in Port Douglas, this is one of the good ones. We have just returned to rainy and cold Melbourne after spending 10 fabulous days at Club Tropical in Port Douglas. What a fantastic apartment for a lovely get away.The apartment is located on Macrossan street just a ‘stones throw’ away from everything you would want or need to make your stay perfect. Easy walking distance to the marina, funky shops, great restaurants , the beach and markets. All the locals were friendly and only too happy to give you great suggestions on how to spend your day. My wife and I have been going to Port Douglas years and have always stayed at some of the bigger resorts further out of town, but on our most recent trip we decided that we would mix it up a bit and decided to stay in town to be closer to the action and closer to the action we were.
