We called for reservations about 5 days in advance , got the day and time we wanted.The food was excellent and the service was very attentive, not bothersome.We have been there about 5 times and have not been disappointed yet.
This place is awesome...yes it gets crowded & loud because every time we get there the place is packed with people having a great time. The food is awesome & served in huge portions. The ribs are a must try and the steak is one of the best I ever had anywhere. A must for us when we are on vacation.
As someone who had lived in Jamaica fo over a year and is married to a Jamaican for over 38 years, I can tell you that this is not good Jamaican food. We have gone to the Sugar shack twice hoping it would get better but the second time the service was terrible they wanted to rush you out, I had asked for ox tail which I had the first time I was there and the girl tried to tell me that they did not serve this, The chicken wings were so over cooked the meat could not stay on the bone, and the ribs were not much better. Every year we vacation in Ocean Isle and look forward to our Sugar Shack outing. It is awesome and there is nothing else around like it! We wish there was a Sugar Shack here in PA! Love it!
