I left my appointment feeling disappointed and unheard. I came in hoping to discuss hormone replacement therapy in detail, but I felt my concerns and symptoms were dismissed rather than explored. The doctor prescribed HRT without explaining exactly what she chose or the specific dosage, what to expect, or reviewing my blood work with me. I would have appreciated a discussion of the benefits, risks, treatment options, and a chance to ask questions before leaving with a prescription.
