EZPassMA is HORRIBLE. EZPass confirmed they had a 'service down computer issue accessing out of state transponders and plates' in May 2025. Instead of traditionally billing my account, with the account in good standing and plenty of funds available for the original toll, they mailed a letter with the correct license plate, noting there is an outstanding toll. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with and seriously questionable business practices. Do not have a transponder with these folks since if it is stolen, you will be on the hook for whatever the thief uses it for, no matter what. You must report it stolen to be safe from that, so if you have one and it leaves your site for 1 minute, report it. Do not expect customer support to do anything but keep your money.

I have to go IN PERSON to unlock my account for a $3 payment. It took days of calls just to get someone on the phone from CS to tell me that. Incredible they operate like this.

They fast and EZ At the end of October I received an invoice to pay $0.65. I was surprised since I have been an accout holder for many years. I thought it was a spam. A week later I received another invoice with an extra $5 fee. Somewhere before Thanksgiving I called and spoke with one of the representatives. The lady found the problem. My credit card was expired and I did not have any balance on my account. I closed my account in September of '24 and have followed up every couple of months trying to get an update on my account balance refund. Nobody can provide an update other than my refund was processed, but "MassDOT is several months behind in issuing checks".
