This agency is beyond rude and even less helpful. My transponder was stolen and they are holding me accountable for all the charges. Everyone better make sure their transponder is in their cars every day they go out. My bank even reimbursed me because they knew it was fraud . I told EZdrive. I would file a police report for the stolen transponder and they said it wouldn’t make a difference.. Because this is a state agency, not one single person has been helpful, empathetic, or professional. Shame on the state of MA!!!!
I have to go IN PERSON to unlock my account for a $3 payment. It took days of calls just to get someone on the phone from CS to tell me that. Incredible they operate like this.
EZPassMA is HORRIBLE. EZPass confirmed they had a 'service down computer issue accessing out of state transponders and plates' in May 2025. Instead of traditionally billing my account, with the account in good standing and plenty of funds available for the original toll, they mailed a letter with the correct license plate, noting there is an outstanding toll. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with and seriously questionable business practices. Do not have a transponder with these folks since if it is stolen, you will be on the hook for whatever the thief uses it for, no matter what. You must report it stolen to be safe from that, so if you have one and it leaves your site for 1 minute, report it. Do not expect customer support to do anything but keep your money.
Online Chat to ask a simple question rudely disconnected me 3x because I couldn't type fast enough. Jean G and Patrick......please review the definition of customer service.
