I had a Nissen Fundoplication done, laproscopically on March 20, 2025. I had a hiatal hernia and spitting up reflux, every day, after eating. Post surgery, I still had daily reflux. I went back to Dr. Ancha for a post surgical follow up. I told him I was still having reflux. He basically blew it off...it will improve or not. He then proceeded to waste my time telling me about other religions of the Middle East and topped it off by reading me a poem he had written.
I was referred to Dr. Ancha on an emergency basis, My doctor couldn't reach my GI doctor over several days, And they needed me to have a colonoscopy because I was loosing blood somewhere. Dr. Ancha got me scheduled in 7 days for the procedure, He was one of the nicest people I've ever met. He was very informative, And knowledgeable, And got me set up for infusions to treat chrones disease. Had to receive a colo/endo and was supposed to see Dr. Wu. He was unexpectedly unavailable the day of my procedure and I had to see Dr. Ancha. After 18 hours of fasting food and water and my procedure being delayed from 8am to 2pm, being chronically ill, I felt horrible. I have colon cancer on both sides of my family. I started getting screened in my early 40s and had a colonoscopy every year because every year they would find one or two polyps. All the doctors would tell me I would be on a year to year until I was clear of polyps Dr. Ancha removed 2 at Mercy in 2021. I said, I will see you next year. No need for that.
