About this business

It all started with a handful of men and women in Wayland and surrounding towns who sensed that things were not going to stay the way they were in 1953. One of those people was 27-year-old Allen Morgan, recognized as one of Massachusetts premier birders, an excellent public speaker, advocate for nature and an unrepentant optimist. With a belief in big ideas, he gathered up a group of friends and founded Sudbury Valley Trustees. SVT celebrated our50th anniversary year, which culminated in our 50th annual meeting and birthday ... read more

These folks protect beautiful land with well marked trails. The properties are large enough to support short and long trail runs (or hiking) and seem to be all over the place. Their trail book is a worthy purchase too. I'm glad to donate.

SVT is a vital and leading partner in the preservation of open space in the Sudbury Valley, west of Boston. Its staff are passionate and dedicated stewards of the lands they protect. Please consider becoming a member to help support their excellent work.

We've enjoyed walking or riding on SVT trails for more than 30 years. The organization does an amazing job leveraging modest resources to protect countless properties in dozens of communities. Anyone who visits one of the properties can help preserve even more spaces in 2018 by becoming a monthly Sustaining Member. It's easy to set up, it ensures we save as much land as possible, and we personally feel great knowing we are doing our part each and every month. Join us!

One of the best non-profits I’ve had the honor to work with. The SuAsCo watershed and its 36 towns owe a lot of our beautiful and protected wild spaces to this organization.

SVT is hard working conservation organization, protecting the health and quality of our forests, fields, and natural areas. With over 55 miles of trails in the region, you'll find many places to enjoy the outdoors thanks to SVT and its conservation partners.

I hope that anyone who is concerned about SVT's mission will come and visit SVT at Wolbach Farm. I expect their concerns will be fully satisfied that SVT's restoration actions are unambiguously good for the environment.
