I saw homeless people fighting and trying to push each other into the succulents. That was awesome!
I came at the perfect time with a handful of cacti blooming! I'm a huge cactus and succulent person, and my own cacti were flowering at home. I am out in Oakland for work and saw this pop-up on the map and had to check it out. The hours aren't too bad but it's best to come in the morning 👍
I really enjoy the succulent garden. Its a beautiful warm spot in the Lake Merritt Gardens and is populated with great flowers come summer time. A few benches are scattered around which are great for quite space.
