Awesome experience hiking through the subway cave! Bring a flashlight and wear sturdy shoes.
A quick and easy little hike. Nice and cold down in the lava tube. Very dark, you need a flashlight or your phone flashlight. Neat but not as neat as Craters of the Moon.
We originally planned on going to Burney Falls on July 4th 2026, but unfortunately, they have a new vistor's policy requiring people to purchase tickets online. Not only that, but there are only so many available and all had been purchased that day! A bit irritated and frustrated, we opted for Lassen Subway Caves.
