I am filing a formal complaint against the Subway branch in Alexandria, VA. The employee refused to accept a valid government-issued Tax Exemption Card, claiming it is 'store policy,' which directly violates Virginia tax regulations. Furthermore, when I asked for a corporate contact, the staff provided the store's own number on the receipt, misled me over the phone, and intentionally redirected my calls to voicemail to evade accountability. Service here was awful. They were out of Italian herb & cheese bread and have limited meat options. They are also extremely stingy with their veggies. I didn’t even purchase my sandwich because they waited until after they started making it to tell me they would charge me an additional $1.00 per slice of cheese - not $1.00 for extra cheese, $1.00 per SLICE of cheese. I rarely eat subs but decided to have one today. The atmosphere is clean and customer service with Rubel was superb. He made sure my bacon was cooked to perfection, neatly packed our bag and offered relevant info on subways specials!! I will be back!!
