It feels ridiculous to make a review on subway. Always the same. Consistent, delicious and relatively priced. On my last visit to this subway (lunch hour in the cbd) I couldn’t help but notice the mistreatment of staff by the person I assume is their supervisor/manager. As someone who has worked in fast food for years, and then hospitality venues for even longer, and has now moved industries, I truly do feel for the staff. Terrible. No italian herbs bread, no cheese, the saddest looking cookies I've ever seen (tiny and burnt), the sofy drink I purchased was near expiry and flat. They left one inexperienced staff member out front serving a full store of customers while the female employee was out the back having a laugh with someone in plain clothes (assuming the owner or manager). Lift your game!
Yesterday I went to this subway with my friends. There were like 3-4 people for serving, but none of them greet us. Instead, they all were making weird faces as if they are mad about the fact that why they got so many customers. Anyway, none of them make eye contact and tried to understand what i was after. And oh god the owner(?) the person on the till, he was sooo rude! The bread was stale, not even toasted properly! Poor quality of food and obviously service as well. Never going there again
I left my mecca bag with expensive cologne on the table outdoors and one of the workers discovered it and when I called them they were able to hand it to me. Super super grateful.
Me and my friend were taking a long time to decide and order and the staff was very patient and she helped answer alot of our questions. Would recommend everyone to go here. Portions were generous as well. Forgot her name but thank you for the great sandwich and experience. Will be coming back just because of her.
