This was the best option in Oakland airport for lunch for family of 5. Three hour layover and I am spilling the tea on Oakland airport Subway. I got a choice between a few 6” sandwich loaves sitting out on the counter with the slicing knife cord on top… I assumed the 6” bread loaf on the counter used to make my sandwich was from previous order. Avoid this place—dishonest pricing practices. Be very careful when paying here. They asked me to swipe my card twice, and I later discovered they automatically added a tip to my total without my consent. When I confronted the staff, they didn't seem surprised at all, which suggests this is a common tactic. They even asked multiple times if I "really needed" a receipt—likely to hide the extra charge. It was only $3, but it’s the lack of integrity that is the real issue. Check your receipts!
This was a very popular spot among travelers due to the fact that a lot of the prices that I seen are a little more closer to a Subway on the streets and the fact they also take coupons such as $6.99 meal deals. There's a little sitting area they have included and I believe they also serve pizza. Service looks like it's very quick especially with the amount of customers and lines that they have.
You’d think we were in wartime the way they ration the vegetables
Gave me food poisoning pretty much immediately.
