I ordered a footlong sandwich, and the lettuce was mushy, watery, and slimy at the bottom of the container. It was clearly no longer fresh and was not something that should have been served to customers, especially considering Subway’s “Eat Fresh” slogan. This was my worst experience at Subway. I have been a customer of Subway in various locations in BC for years, but I have never experienced such rudeness and disregard for hygiene. I am not a rude person, but I wanted to throw that sandwich in front of the cashier. Even when I asked for spicy sauce, she showed me the empty bottle of sauce and did not want to refill it. I will always enjoy the food at Subway. Just a couple things to address at this location: a) food handlers do not change their gloves regularly. From back to the front and touching other contact surfaces and then using the same gloves to directly touch ready to eat foods. Please ensure gloves are changed after each designated task or get one food handler to only handle ready to eat foods to minimize cross contamination.
