Legitimately could not be more unhappy about our experience at this store. The man working was rude from first greeting. I had a friend visiting from out of town and chose to bring my computer to work as we ate because as a teacher and graduate student I do not get out much. On September 17, 2025, I visited Subway on Sangamon Avenue after purchasing food for a partner at China Star, preferring a sandwich over Chinese cuisine. While experiencing a choking sensation, likely from a food particle, I requested a water cup. Unable to locate water, I filled it with Sprite. This place is absolutely sucks. They are not open on the inside, which is entirely. The whole experience of subway is to be able to build your food and make sure they’re putting enough of what toppings you want on there and these people have not had their lobby open as far as I could tell for at least 2 to 3 years how they’re still in business is beyond me.
