When we bought our house last year we tried keeping service with Suburban propane but the tank was low and they told us they couldn’t deliver for a month, we had no choice but to change providers. We have had to call back 3 times over the last year to ask that they remove their old propane tank from our yard. It is an eye sore. Now it has been over a year and the tank is still sitting in our yard. HORRIBLE service, horrible company.

Truly horrific. Left us without propane- which we rely on for heat and cooking- three times now via their incompetent “autodelivery” program- we have been without heat for two days, with terrible customer service outsourced to a call center. While we await delivery prior to cancellation, I’ve reported them to the State of Maine Fuel Board and Consumer Protection Team, and encourage others to do the same. The worst company I have ever had to work with. They were charging us dollars over the state average for propane per gallon. We had to call them every bill to get it reduced. We ended up moving providers because of their crazy prices. Now we can not get them to pick up their tanks. It's been 3+ months and they schedule a date and never actually pick them up. I used Suburban Propane in Augusta for years. I heat a Greenhouse with fruit tree's all winter. I used a 1000 gal. tank. So I burn through a lot of Gas in winter. You'd think I'd be a preferred customer. Nope! In fact, after trying to place a 2nd 1000 gal. tank on an abutting property, the hassles and condescending attitude of the saleslady had me asking more questions and looking elsewhere. Come to find out I was paying 3 times more than I should have been charged. I immediately dumped SP. Never looking back.
