Very shady business. Let me tell you right off the bat, that this is a very slimy business. So, I just bought a house and I was the lucky winner who gained a leased tank owned by suburban. I called them to set up propane delivery. Once the woman found out that the tank was owned by suburban, her tone completely changed. We have been costumers for about 5 years. We are on automatic refill, they have let us run out multiple times. The worst being this winter during a snow storm. One tank was empty and the other gauge was stuck at 80% full. My husband checked it because a storm was coming in. We thought we were all good. But we were not. Heat stopped working in the middle of a Wednesday night ( no heat til Tuesday) while sleeping. We called immediately Thursday morning, they said they would send someone out immediately. This is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Impossible to speak to a local office. In 3 years, they have never returned a single phone call. I’m calling another company, I’m sick of this one.
We have been suburban customers for almost 5 years. They have always provided wonderful customer service and have been great to work with. They are always kind and friendly when we contact them with questions or to pay for our fill-up.
Apparently it’s in their business model to trespass onto peoples property to remove tanks without notifying the home owner first. Not cool when your company puts my teenager in an awkward and uncomfortable situation with not knowing how to handle someone helping themselves on our property without permission. (Apparently the tanks were rented by the previous owners of the home, which we didn’t know and have lived here for 2 years).
