Suburban Propane came to my house and disconnected my service from a tank that was existing when I purchased my home over a year ago. I have had another company fill the tank twice and have NO IDEA why someone from Suburban Propane came to MY HOUSE and disconnected my gas with NO NOTICE. To be clear I have never spoken to anyone from Suburban Propane, never received any communication of any type and OWE them NOTHING! They came to my house and disconnected my service unannounced. Do not trust them with autopay. Their bills were frequently wrong, and it took hours on the phone to get it fixed each time. At least half the time I ended up being forwarded to a 'regional' office that said it could not help fix the local office's billing errors. When I canceled my account and told them to come remove the tank (because I am moving, but still own the house), they told me it was a $149 fee to remove the tank, or I could pay the same $149 fee and they would leave the tank there.
