Price gougers! Ive been a Valley Propane customer for 5 years - Ive always known their pricing was higher than other companies, but they have always had good customer service so I accepted the higher rates. NO MORE! This past delivery, they charged 4.99 per gallon, which is about \$2 per gallon more than other propane services in the area. When I later called to complain, they acknowledged that the pricing was high, and thats just the way it was. As soon as I can empty my tank, theyve lost a long term customer.

I recently arrived home and noticed a bill for propane delivery in my door. I never ordered this delivery and called them Immediatly. I explained to the woman that answered that I did not order any propane. She said that she would take care of the matter and call me back. No one ever called and today I received a bill for \$648.78. They are charging \$4.159 per gallon for the propane and an administrative fee of \$5.25. The company is now calling itself Blue Ride Propane. If there is any other customers that have a similar p... read more

I used Valley Propane for six years aand about six months ago they charged me \$4.94 a gallon for propane. They are way overcharging people and something should be done about price gouging!!!

I recently had my tank filled and noticed the charge of \$5.19 per gallon. Outrageous gouging!!! I checked the going rate from other companies and they quoted me between \$2.79 to \$2.99. Valley propane says they charge per usage. It seems like those who conserve energy & resources are being punished instead of rewarded. I will definitely be switching.

What gets me is they have different prices for different people. Example My neighbor had the same contract as I had. same size tank, our gas was delivered on the same day by the same truck and driver and my gas was \$1.00 higher on the gallon. This was done twice in a row. Sever times I tried to find out why and they couldnt tell me. Thats went I bought my own tank and get the propane at the lowest place.Never at Valley Propane. If they were the only ones in business I would switch to oil

For many years, I was a customer of Valley Propane, a first rate company. Then, a few years ago they were bought out by Inergy Holdings, a corporate parent company. Now they use slick techniques to price gouge. The latest technique is charging exorbitant fluctuating fees (nearly \$2 gallon more than other companies in the area). If you call and tell them about more reasonable competitor prices, they offer you their slick 'fixed rate.' The rate sounds reasonable, but the fine print is that it balloons after specified dates or... read more

Now (Dec 2008) the average wholesale price according to US Govt statistics for propane gas is 80 cents a gallon. The average retail price is \$2.56 a gallon. Other propane companies in our area are charging near the average retail price, but Valley Propane charges \$4.14 per gallon!! Before you sign on with these guys, maybe you ought to check your alternatives. That is unless you enjoy paying these gougers.
