Been waiting for a promised delivery for a week, every day a new excuse. Overpriced and terrible customer service
Even though we had a contract to do business, Suburban Propane failed to show up on three different occasions. Shame on me for believing them, but shame on them for being so unprofessional. Now, after waiting for weeks, taking time off from work on three different occasions, and being lied to from employees on all different levels as to when the delivery and installation would happen, it still did not happen. I was promised that my tank was going to be picked up withing 3 days. It wasn't, I sold my house and I can't get them to pick up this tank. I am so frustrated with this company. I originally called a month ago to cancel they completely ignored me!

I would like to addendum this review. Evidently their customer service person was on vacation and the covering office staff was very overwhelmed managing the volume of calls and service. I received a call from Lisa at the Crescent City branch , who expressed genuine concern regarding my complaint and a sincere apology. We had a very good discussion, and I was reassured. They dropped off a tank for our new home then wouldn’t service it when we needed to move in. Now their tank just sits on our property as we found someone else to service us. We’ve called numerous times and they say they will pick it up and never do. That’s been 4 months ago. Come get your tank for the last time!

Such a large company with great buying power you think they would pass that on to the consumer. I found that Suburban Propane was 50 to 100% more than the local competitors for gas. As a result I’ve switched my service from Suburban to a local competitor after 8 yrs. Now if Suburban can just come pick up their tank that’s been it’s sitting on the curb for a week It would be appreciated.
