I am not impressed with this company or the work they've done. They have recently put in a "new" propane system at my place of employment and it's best description is shabby. They didn't install a proper shut off system just a rope and instructions to pull it and then crawl under the tank to flip a lever. There cap is held on by poorly spun tie wire/sauder wire instead of actual hinge bolts. I personally think there fill nosel is terrible to use compared to others. Very disappointed. I have a seasonal home, and am only here in spring, summer and fall. I have a heat pump with secondary propane furnace. Consequently, I use very little propane. I have requested that they not fill my tank, unless I call for delivery. Well, at the height of the fuel prices, Suburban decided to come up and fill my tank. My 500 gallon tank only took 20 gallons. The fee included a fuel charge of $131 (($6.51/gal), a delivery fee ($14.30), a Safety P&T fee ($12.92) and a slew of associated taxes....for a total ... read more
Terrible customer service, they failed to make a propane delivery during the winter when I was away, luckily a neighbor came by and let me know that my house was freezing cold and the tank went empty! Suburban tried to put the blame on me and just made excuses for why they didn’t deliver. Horrible, stressful experience! I’ve been a very good customer for 19 years and this is how they treat us.
I would leave zero stars if I could. 3 appointments to service my fireplace scheduled and 3 no call no shows. After switching to another company, it took 4 months for them to pick up their tank after 6 phone calls to schedule with them to do so.
The customer service rep was very helpful in reducing my bill several hundred dollars. I was very unhappy that Suburban tried to charge me about $3.00 per gallon more than their competition.
