We've been bringing our family here for 20 years for emergencies and have always received excellent care. Special recognition should be given to the pediatric emergency department. Children and young adults, up to 21, are separated from the main emergency department and triaged promptly. Minimal waiting times and cheerful staff.

20% of the employees seem to be doing 80% of the work here. Most of the staff were fine, but the older nurse behind the wall near the waiting area was incredibly unpleasant and unprofessional. She spoke to patients as if she was doing them a favor instead of providing paid care and basic respect. A serious retraining on professionalism and patient interaction is needed.

Very disappointing ER experience at Suburban Hospital. I brought my 92-year-old mother with advanced dementia after an urgent care referral for possible bowel obstruction, along with a doctor’s note. The intake nurse was dismissive and questioned the referral in a rude tone. Despite her condition, she was left waiting in a wheelchair for 2.5 hours without being seen. Both of my arms are bruised—they tried six times and still couldn’t find a vein. Asking me “Why are you so stressed?” I was extremely dizzy, yet they kept me upright in a chair for nearly four hours!
