I was sent to SPI by a temp agency, before my contact was up Dave said he was 98% sure he would hire me in if I wanted to work there. I was 63yrs old at the time. He kept his word. After a year or so Lori made a request for me to take over their safety program. When I suggested to Dave we should have a company newsletter, he gave me the go-ahead .Sue Davis and I worked together to produce a monthly newsletter. I think another reviewer hit the nail right on the head. It's surprising he lasted as long as he did. I left Sub Assembly Plus in Jan of 2016 after having worked there for almost 3 years. This is a furniture contractor that mostly specializes in unskilled assembly labor for the larger companies such as Trendway, Herman Miller, and Steelcase. Hard work, and talent is mostly unrecognised/ignored by management. Someone can happen to know the one of the owners, and get hired into his own area with no experience getting more resp... read more
