A warning to anyone considering doing business with Suba Performance in Denver. At the end of November, I took my 2014 Subaru Crosstrek with 39,000 miles on it into Suba Performance to check out an engine noise and for an oil change. I’m not car savvy at all and usually take my car into the dealership in Boulder where I used to live. But I had recently moved to Denver and wanted to take it somewhere local. First of all, I agree that they are good if not great mechanics. My problem with them is in a different area. Last time I was there they quoted me 1.5 hours (1.5 x $110= $165) to replace the light under my shifter because the center console had to be removed. I also asked Ryan about a noisy AC fan and he told me it was a 4-5 hour jobs (4-5 x $110 =$440-$550) as the whole dash needed to be removed. I couldn't afford that at the time so passed on both.
