There's a good, clean dog run in the East part of the park. The surrounding blocks on that side of the park are somewhat scruffy, particular the closer you get to the subway station on 14th and First Avenue. The park itself is maintained partly by local volunteers who do what they can to grow a good variety of flowers. Visit that massive tree on the NE corner of 2nd and 15.
