Cute park with benches. Not a park where you can sit in the grass though.
I spent the day walking around the East Village and ended up at Stuyvesant Square. It is divided into two sides divided by 2nd Avenue. In this park, I found lots of benches in shady areas, lots of greenery, a fountain, statues of Peter Stuyvesant and Antonin Dvorak, a flag pole and a dog run. Something for everyone. Both sides are clean as well. Maintenance guys were cleaning the park on the west side as I passed thru.
