There's plenty of information to help homeowners select a trustworthy contractor and avoid being taken advantage of by contractors like this. They also have been helping out homeowners in situations where their deposits are taken and stuck with a loan for work not done. Attached is a photo of their office location (459 Main St, Indian Orchard MA) that is currently for lease. This should not be happening.
Adam, the owner, made non stop promises he did not keep. The schedule was never adhered to. He couldn't even bring samples when he said he would or call his office to have them ready for me when I said I'd pick them up instead. The subcontractors were often not paid on time so they were always upset. Sturdy's guys put my door frames in with a single finish nail, and they didn't paint the doors, door frames, or trim; it was all just factory primed. They put many shelves up without hitting studs. We had our roof repaired with a guaranteed. There is now a leak for which I needed follow up repairs. Beginning on September 6. I’ve tried to reach them now seven times and left messages seven times because they do not pick up the phone and you are required to go through a complex series of messages. I’m left with the idea that they don’t want anything to do with follow up repairs. Apparently their guarantees mean absolutely nothing and they aren’t interested in. Follow up. Beware!
