Called in the morning and was seen within two hours of calling. The dr was lovely and supported me with my issue. Gave a follow up appointment for the week after to see me again. There were waiting times calling in the morning for the appointment but all gps are like this at the moment.
There are a lot of negative reviews on this practice. I’m sure each of them have their own merit however, I was seen quickly by a knowledgeable GP who was very polite and helpful which is far better than any other GP I’ve had in Sheffield. The NHS and GPs are struggling and aren’t always able to give you the best care but if you are a student at Hallam I would recommended you sign up here. Not just when you have a problem but when you move to Sheffield.
Don’t waste your time signing up for this gp practice. I joined purely because of uni and they’re terrible. I don’t know how they still run. You’re lucky if you can even get through to somebody on reception. I rang 6 times and each time an automated voice reader hangs up on me saying the lines are too busy but if you don’t ring up at 8:30am then they don’t have an appointment for you. I feel it might be more beneficial to avoid seeking help here. Regrettably, there seems to be a lack of attention to patient health; one often has to endure long waits on the phone to possibly communicate with someone at this facility. I have found that getting assistance from 111 or a walk-in center is more effective. It's unfortunate that a center of this nature has the responsibility of dealing with patients.
