ZERO STARS I asked for a 2-3 inch trim and I got 6 inches off. When I complained to Christina (the hairdresser), she said it was what I wanted. On top of that, the trim was SLANTED AND UNEVEN. When I told the manager and owner they said there was nothing they could ...do to 'make me happy', & that 'one bad haircut won't ruin our rep.' so not impressed I would suggest opting for a different salon -- perhaps super cuts. They certainly have more knowledge about hair. However, if you are interested in being overcharged, having uneven hair that is frayed and over-processed and having a clueless stylist, book an appointment. You won't be disappointed. They definitely have the skills to destroy your ends. If you are younger and wanted to dull up your hair a little -- go with this salon -- they will be certain that you leave with hair that is dull and wiry. Oh, a... read more

decent cut, very pricey I always enjoy the experience of a nice shampoo and cut, but the price was extremely high. The hairdresser seemed too rushed to listen to what I really wanted, and I left the salon feeling 'so-so' about my hair. However, I must say some of my friends have had some wonderful highlights done there. It wasn't worth the price, in my opinion. PROS: good location? that's about it! CONS: price, apathy.

Recommend Highly I have been going to Stuart Laurence for over a decade, as has my son, and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. A beautiful, friendly salon where every effort is made to make the client comfortable and ensure that you have a great experience. Professionalism and warmth is the standard. Butch is the Best!! I have been a client of Stuart Laurence, Charleston, SC for 11 years!!! Butch is my stylist and there aren't enough adjectives to describe how fabulously talented this man is!! Lacking Professionialism After my visit to Stuart Laurence I was impressed enough with the haircut that I decided it was worth returning to again this time for highlights. Being that I have never colored my hair before I was timid but the stylist seemed confident it would look good. After the coloring my hair looked exactly the same. Good hair salon The Stuart Laurence Salon is a fun and interesting place to get either a hair cut or similar service. The hair stylists are talented and do a great job. Everyone seems to enjoy their job and the results of my hair cut were excellent. It is a bit expensive but worth it overall. PROS: Fun staff CONS: Expensive
