I have two male, large breed, dogs. We did take them to a vet in Orillia but he was always impatient and in a rush, he spent very little time with them, and his method for attending to dogs afraid of nail trims was to hold them down. As a result Axel who is close to 100 lbs was afraid to go to the vets. This vets recommendation was to anesthetize him to cut his nails.
