Recently completed a new home build with Stroud Homes Toowoomba. Heard lots of good things after extensive research before proceeding, sadly for us our experience was terrible. We were involved with the project from the start from a trades perspective as we handled the electrical and AC externally. We have been in our home now for 4 months. We are very happy with the end product, the whole process took a little longer than we hoped getting trades being the main issue. Our Friday phone call from Anthony our supervisor with up dates was great, even if there was nothing planned for that week he would tell us what was happening next and when. We built our family home with Stroud Homes Toowoomba, with completion in 2022. They were great with communication and told us if we had any issues, to contact them and they will endeavour to rectify the issues. We have had several issues that we have asked on numerous occasions to be rectified, only to be told they would call us back. We are still waiting for said calls. Disappointing end to our build with the finishing touches not even being completed prior to handover. Stone feature on our fireplace and front facade wasn’t completed for handover and we weren’t even informed until we showed up for the handover and it wasn’t done… that one didn’t make the fancy videos they post online. Took another 7 weeks for the stone to be installed after handover. We have been in our new home for 4 months now and we couldn't be happier. The whole build process with Stroud was so easy. Nick and Deb in the display home were so helpful and happily answered my millions of questions. Nothing was too much trouble. Deb listened to what we wanted and modified a standard plan that really suits our lifestyle and fitted the constraints of building on our block.
