Great spot for a couple of days break away from the city. Compact but clean and comfortable accommodation. Pet friendly (yes!!) A good base for anyone intending to hit the hiking trails around the area. Only a stones throw to the heritage railway line (you can also see if from the cottage) and short walk into town. The accommodation is super close to the Wally Pub for great food and chats with the locals.
Accommodation Feedback. Stayed here on the weekend of the 14 & 15th Sept 2024. Very disappointed with what we got. It certainly was not worth $267.00 per night. It was small, but we knew that, the important thing was it was not clean, just a quick job of fresh sheets on the bed and fresh towels and that was it. We found other peoples items left behind from a previous stay ie: Asthma puffers both in the kitchen and inside bedroom draws next to the main bed, fried orange rice dried up in a plastic container left in the fridge,... read more
Lovely cottage overlooking the rail yards. The sounds of Stringers Creek quietly burbling is delightful. Loved the wood fired heater. Has a reverse-cycle air-conditioner for those who don't want to get their hands dirty. Nice little getaway venue for two. Just make sure you bring a torch. This town has little to no night lighting.

Wonderful spot. Has struck the perfect balance between comfortable and rustic! Lots of charming touches. Great walks in the area too.
