My daughter has attended Strides for weekly speech therapy for almost 2 years. We have had a great experience throughout our time with them. Ms. Amy is always helpful and quick to respond if there are scheduling issues or changes needed. My daughter has had a few different SLPs at Strides and they have all been great with her and adjusted sessions to best meet her individual needs and comfort level. We had a very positive experience with the Strides Speech therapy. Bethany Lemak was very attentive and patient and professional with our daughter. She had done a great job and we are grateful she agreed to take us, as my daughter is not English speaking and had speech development delay at 2,5 years, so we had to do a very hard job – start talking both native language and a little English. We have been doing virtual speech class with Ms. Chelsea Yorks and she was wonderful! She left the practice, however we are now seeing Miss Connie Bryner! She is equally as wonderful and exceptionally knowledgeable. My daughter has made great progress and it’s hard to mask my excitement when I see her picking up new sounds. I am deeply disappointed with our experience at Strides Therapy Gambrills Maryland. During my daughter's recent evaluation, it became clear that Ms. Sherelle Duncan's approach to handling children with speech issues is overly rigid and dismissive. While she determined that my daughter falls within "normal limits of intelligibility," this assessment failed to take into account the specific challenges we face regarding articulation and pronunciation, which are significantly impacted by her anxiety. We have loved Strides Speech therapy my son has been here since october and nicole, brenna, sophia, and sherelle were perfect SLP's. they were kind and super fun to work with. my son who is level 3 autistic went from barely babbling, to happily babbling, to saying words to communicate. We have loved our time here.
