SMA was started by us, Midland locals Josh and Navar. Originally on our own paths as athletes, we had two things in common — we loved health and fitness, and we didn’t like the standard of the gyms around us. We saw a lack of education and support and a focus on ‘cheap, convenient and fast’. Gross. We wanted to create a functional-focused training space for everyone. It doesn’t matter how far away I live I’ll always come back to SMA, the coaches become friends and the gym becomes home away from home. Safe, comfortable and so fun! It’s always so clean, everyone is so kind and the pups are so cute! Regardless of my commitment issues SMA is always committed to making me a better version of myself, I’ve never been so supported, pushed and believed in at any other gym. It’s not just another big chain, it’s a group of people who genuinely care and take pride in their space
I’ve been through other big chain gyms and can easily say this is by far the best gym around, always a friendly atmosphere, The facilities and equipment are always in great condition and the coaches make you feel like you belong from day one.
I love going to this gym! I hadn't been to a gym in years and had a lot of anxiety stepping back into that space. The team at SMA have been so friendly and supportive, along with all the awesome people that go there. Sophie has been an amazing coach, she's helped me get my gym confidence back up, has taught me so much about form, nutrition and exercise over the last 4 months, and connected me to like minded gym goers .
