Sam & Stratton Landscaping is by far the most unprofessional contractor I've ever had the misfortune of working with. Sam disappeared once the contract was signed and was unavailable to help resolve various frustrations that occurred during the project. At the end of the day my drainage problems are worse now than before Stratton implemented their "solution", and I can't get a response from anyone at the company. Do not contract with Stratton. Sam won't give you the time of day once he has your cash.
We engaged Sam at Stratton Landscaping for a significant backyard project, and the results are well worth it. Sam and his team were committed throughout the entire process. Job 1 was removing "a lot" of grass to install new beds around the entire back yard and in the front. The hardscapes were beautifully installed, from stone pathways to the cobble stone borders. Unfortunately I have not had a great experience with Stratton. I had them install a stamped concrete patio. The first stain was applied incorrectly and had to be redone. The second they left entire areas unstained and had to come back again. Even after that there are still areas that could use touching up. Now the stain is scraping off in areas already. It’s hard to put into words how terrible our experience with Stratton Landscaping was. We hired them for a patio installation and to address significant drainage issues in our backyard. From the very beginning, we emphasized that the drainage was our top priority, and we were reassured that we were in capable hands. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this landscaping business. While the design itself was wonderful, the execution was a complete disaster. They repeatedly canceled, took several months to get work done, and in the end, never even completed the job. Communication was beyond horrible—I was constantly misled about the status of my project and when they would return to finish the work. Professionalism was severely lacking.
