We were in the managemet rights business for 20 years and dealt with many strata management companies. Strata care (brisbane office) was by far the least competent. Did Stratacare get body Corp permission to do major renovation works at their premises??
I bought an apartment just over 3 years ago and had the misfortune that the building was managed by this company. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I have had a few maintenance issues with the building and every one with Stratacare has felt like an uphill battle taking months at a time for simple things like tree lopping. Our property suffered further damage due to the delays caused. I would not recommend Stratacare. I live in a Stratacare managed complex and have had nothing but trouble with our manager Therese. Everything from creating disharmony and conflict amongst owners and committee members to intimidation tactics. A BCCM application and order was needed due to our manager not following legislation. Legal action was taken against me for Stratacare fee's that I did not owe and were later dropped. Poor communication. Unexplained costs. Diversion from solutions to benefit excess management fees.
Kristen Casey has been an absolute godsend for our complex. She is always so happy to answer our questions and guide us. Her and Midori are quick to respond to emails and manage our complex efficiently. If you're looking for a new strata manager ask for Kristen!
