I called Strange Auto Salvage during lunch and no one personally answered the phone. I did get an answering machine and I left my number for them to call me. I also left my email address and said you can either call me back or send me an email. that was over 3 months ago and Im still waiting, they must not be interested in selling parts, I ended up buying an engine from a Junk Yard in Newport TN and it had over 5 quarts of water in it, that guy promised a 30 day warranty also and they never called me back neither, so beware ... read more

Bought some tires and rims, they have worked out great. They are used parts so use some common sense when you purchase, if you purchase a motor with 90k miles on it, depending on how long it has been sitting and how the previous owner treated it, it may not be worth much! Try getting any salvage place to warranty it at all, I am surprised that they warranty it for 30 days!

Bought an engine there once. They said it only had around 90,000 miles on it. It didnt make it 3000 miles before it quit on me with a major internal problem. All the fluid levels were good. Their only response? Sorry its been over 30 days. The engine cost me \$850 and the labor and other parts were another \$750. The mechanic (Shane) at Newport Tire that installed the engine had the same reply...over 30 days. A word from someone who learned the hard way, dont do any business with these 2 companies. They WILL rip you off!!
