We do not know the employees personally, but today we were in the middle of a funeral procession coming up 7th street, and as we drove past the workers they all stopped what they were doing, took off their hats, and stood there quietly as they watched us pass by them. Thank you for giving our loved one the respect as we drove past!
They are currently working on FM18 between Clyde and Abilene. Strain and Sons is terrible at managing the traffic patterns during peak times. Going down to one lane at 5 p.m. yesterday, they had traffic backed up all the way to Hwy 36 where no cars could turn onto FM18. Today, they had the westbound traffic following a pilot car on the eastbound lane.
