I just moved to Charlottesville. An older car I am selling needed an alternator suddenly and I needed to get it done right and done economically and, of course as these things seem to happen, I needed to have it done as quickly as could be arranged. I saw the rating of this shop, gave a call, thought the person on the phone was very pleasant and positive, so I went there. Simple as that and it was a good decision. I am not from the Charlottesville area. My Envoy broke down and towing service recommended them as one of the beet in the area. I am pleased the customer service was outstanding, and I am difficult to please. Being a female I have trust issues with mechanics, but they quickly put me at ease. Quickly assessed problem, showed me the damaged areas and went over costs. [NOTE: access on Dale Ave, not Preston Ave -\-\ was a little hard to find.] I am terrified of going to auto repair shops because I always feel like I need to prepare for how much I am going to get screwed over, but the guys at Straight Up were really honest and helpful!
