The staff are amazing at thomastown really helpful. I chose to back to there after a positive experience last time with Karen. The girls were really helpful. My only gripe is that I didn't realise when asking for larger storage that their was no lift. I knew a now lift was installed but at a different building. I can access it but it is going thru other buildings. This is the only downside as I have a medical condition that is not stair friendly so won't use unless someone is in office or I bring someone with me.
I asked about the needed ID doc to rent a unit and found that they now require your biometric data and do not offer alternatives to check your ID which is a breach of the Privacy Act! These big companies do not understand how invasive and useless that is ! When your entrance is PIN based and all thieves don’t have their biometrics uploaded anywhere why do you collect biometrics from your own customers and refuse to see their 100pts of ID and police clearance instead ?? Rude arrogant and unhelpful staff. I was treated with utter disrespect and contempt over the phone on Monday whilst trying to organise the van. Its also like an absolute oven inside the units with no ventilation airflow or climate control what so ever. There is also very little space to manoeuvre around the storage yard. I would hate to be driving or storing anything big as it would be an absolute nightmare to manoeuvre around.
