Only getting a start because I have to go leave this review. I wish I could leave negative 10 starts WORST PEOPLE EVER at the *********** location. That property manager is a bully and doesn't practice the same rules with everyone. Very rude aggressive just a real ********************* is. When he tried sneaking up on me the other day to tell me ******** I wanted to just laugh at half the things he was saying.. after his little bully ambush I decided right then that I was leaving that place. Our storage units are for storage purposes only. They are not a place to live or hang out. For the safety of all our customers, their belongings, and our property we have zero tolerance for those who violate the Use and Occupancy terms. This individual also ignored several No Smoking signs, and again risked damage when it is 100+ degrees. We are confident anyone reading this review will be pleased that we take measures to ensure our customers have a safe and pleasant experience with Stor-It Self Storage.
Awful company. I wish there was a negative -10 for a rating. We have had two storage locations in ***** and have paid consistently on time for two and half years. We were traveling in ************** this month and I missed paying on time. They charged us 20% late fee for each unit. When I called the manager, she was completely uninterested in customer service. I chose this company because I could sign up online...not really, I still had to come in person before I could get into my unit. That wasn't very handy when I traveled 12 hours to get here and wanted to unload right away, but had to wait until the following day instead.Then, when I moved out at the end of the month, I was charged with 5 days more, since I had not informed them in advance. That simply is not true. This customer gave notice on ******, which was the beginning of a new billing cycle. The very first sentence of our vacate policy states we need a 5-day vacate notice. Keep in mind, most businesses would have charged a 30-day notice, effectively having the customer pay an additional month. At Stor-It, we kindly ask for a 5-day notice. This review is specific to the Midland location in *****.After reviewing the company's website, I went to the Midland location to see if there were available vacant units. The manager of the location was very pleasant and got me signed up.First issue - when he processed the prorated rent for the balance of August, I asked him why the charge was so high and he told me there was a $20 administrative fee (not advised of this at any time during the inquiry or the contract signing).Second issue - their website clearly states that... read more

Also at the time of rental she was made aware of it as she was told: The prorated amount for the remainder of August, and the one-time $20 administrative fee comes to $xx.**.
