Not bad. Not great, either. This is, basically, your average Stop and Shop. It's clean, well laid-out, and (usually) has enough cashiers on hand to make check out pretty quick. Avoid The Pharmacy itself has some very nice people who work there as well as the people in the PNC Bank. But I don't like the new store at all. For one I don't like how the Bakery and Pharmacy were changed around. I always see employees who smoke by the blue rhino propane tanks and the smoke goes towards the door, smelling awful. I know one in particular but don't want to say his name, who is a cart collector who smokes what looks like every 10 minutes. Stop & Shop Pharmacy This is a great place for one stop shopping. I pick up my groceries, flowers (florist), perscriptions (pharmacy) and do my banking all under the same roof. This is a very safe and clean store. Actually, it is relatively new as well. Even the bathrooms are clean. The fruit has always been fresh as well as the meat and seafood. The clerks are helpful and professional and best of all, it's 24 hours!
Grocery Stop and Shop has gone down hill with their customer service and also with their sales. The flyers are supposed to be in Thursdays paper however, most of the time they are not and you need to search on-line for the flyer. the prices have also gone way up on most items
Worst This is the worst stop and shop in Waterbury, even in CT as I will stop wherever I am in my travels, but this one is close to home, and I avoid it. The customer service is terrible, right up to the manager. I have been lied to and cheated there, never appologized to or treated like a customer should be. I worked in customer svc for 25 yrs. Do yourself a favor, drive to Reidville Dr or Straits Tnpke in Watertown for quality service.
Clean Store, great prices I am new to the Waterbury Area, I love the Stop and Shop, it has great everyday low prices on all the stuff I buy. I also love the new gas rewards program, it is saving me a lot on gas.
Nice store!! I usually do my weekly shopping at Stop & Shop. They usually have everything you need in stock. Employees very helpful and very clean store!!!! Onme of my favorite stores!
Great way to get groceries - even delivered I have used the PeaPod service and have found it to be a huge time saver! It is easy to complete online - they save previous orders- and you get to pick delivery time. Even the ice cream comes with no problem! A great option for the busy family. The only negative is that the choices are more limited than in the store, but for frequently bought items it's fine. The delivery people are always helpful and courteous.
Great Selection A great store that has everything you need in one place. And now that they've been lowering all their prices storewide it's definitely the smart choice.
