I transferred my prescriptions here after Rite Aid closed because my wife was already using the Stop & Shop Pharmacy. At first, I was a little skeptical. Since the pharmacy is located inside a supermarket, I assumed it might feel less personal or professional than a traditional drugstore. Stop & Shop Pharmacy in Somers is a busy and well-loved location that I visit often. It is clearly understaffed—there are rarely more than two employees working, and they are always busy. Despite this, the staff consistently provide excellent customer service with great patience and attention to detail. I have witnessed a pharmacist working on a computer in the back actually leave the pharmacy Department in order to help an older gentleman choose an over-the-counter sleep pill, and took the time to briefly educate him. I must say that I have generally been pleased with this establishment, as I am a regular visitor. However, I am compelled to share my dissatisfaction with today's experience. This morning, my brother and I brought bottles for redemption. Upon attempting to redeem them, a staff member informed me that we were unable to do so, as the policy is per household.
