A very special place in a beautiful town. Stony Rise Lodge was our home for 4 nights recently whilst we explored all the area had to offer. Luxury at every turn of the head, from the minute we arrived nothing was too much trouble for the team at Stony Rise. Attention to detail and beautifully curated rooms rich in family history made us feel instantly a part of the family. This amazing boutique hotel popped up on my Instagram feed so I looked into staying there. We chose the library suite for 4 nights on a recent cold and damp weekend. It was the perfect place to stay. Our suite with heated bathroom floor was cozy and warm but the highlight was sitting in the main living area in front of a blazing fire with a glass of red and a cheese platter. My goodness what a gem!! It’s hard to imagine that this marvellous spot could be beaten. Sophisticated and modern comfort with the most exquisite attention to detail. The art, the rugs, the books, the pottery, the sublime, creative and beautifully presented food.. I could go on. But the warmth and friendliness shown by Bek and Roscoe, Donna and Tiana (and let me not forget Frank, Ava and Molly!) were the clear winners.
