The company canceled our cabin we booked 4 months ago due to the owner issues out of our control but the company was not willing to accommodate us with the same type of amenities because the others were a bit more. ZERO protection for the customers if the owners back out. Now we are hunting for a new place 2 months out. I will never use this company again and I recommend you find another company. Keep in mind we w still were willing to pay the same price we were just asking for understanding with the inconvenience.
Our 1 bedroom cabin had not a single picture on the wall or rug on the floor or even a bear sillouette as is common here. No decorations to make it feel like home and nothing to make it cozy. Pics attached..felt very sterile. The Internet didn't work at all and there was no cable/satellite box in the cabin so it was funny talking to tech support when they asked us to reset it. We rented Old Glory for 4 days. We definitely enjoyed our stay. It is very spacious and accommodated our group of 6 adults and a toddler very well. The ammenities were clean and in working order. We parked 3 vehicles comfortably in the driveway. The staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I just stayed in the cerenity studio cabin for our 10 year anniversary. It was very quiet and beautiful. The cabin was easy to find. There were other cabins right next to it, but it still felt very private with the trees. We were called and texted before and all throughout the stay to make sure everything was okay with the cabin. WORST experience to date! My husband and I traveled to Gatlinburg this past weekend (Labor Day); we've never been to the area. We travel often and have rented cabins in other states with little to no issue. However, our experience with Stony Brook (Cozy Bear Hideaway) was awful. • Smell – Mold/Mildew/Smoke – very stale and irritating allergens, made it difficult to even stay inside • Jacuzzi tub – black grit/dirt coming out of faucet with water; loud squealing noise in pipes • Hot Tub – green slime in tub, odd chemical smell... read more
