Very disappointed that this facility did not take all factors into consideration before denying to take a 100% disabled vet into care when space was available . No conversations were had with the family. Truly disappointing that those who gave all for this country are treated in this manner.
My mom has been at Stoneybrook for years, however, the memory care unit closed so she and others were moved to the Assisted Living unit. I think it has been wonderful to mix the residents instead of isolating those with dementia. Conversations are better and my mom seems to thrive there. I still feel Stoneybrook is indeed one of the better facilities out there. Many of the employees from years ago when my mom was admitted are still working there and are extremely loving and caring.
