Bay Area Cardiology has very good doctors but their communication system sucks. They need to change their IVR. It is extremely difficult to reach any department in the offices. 1. They have one number for all 4 locations, SunCity, Riverview, Brandon and Tampa. It could be like press 1 for Sun city, 2 for Riverview etc.. that way individual location could handle the calls 2. I called in a script on Friday. The person i spoke to said OK I will call it in right now. I went to Publix and no script. I called back on Monday and asked why my script wasn't called in. The person I spoke to said they didn't even have that particular medication on my list at all. I said Well hard to believe the individual i spoke to Friday said they saw it and were calling it in. A few week ago had communication issue, but some one finnaly returned my call and things worked out. I think everyone is just working short staffed and nerves are shot.
I became a patient in April 2020. The doctor seemed competent, but the office staff is seriously lacking. They cannot comprehend, for some unknown reason, that you bill Medicare first and then my secondary insurance. They have been non-responsive to my secondary insurance provider and continue to bill for services for which they have been paid.
