Stonepoint is a scam!!!! I wish I had done a much better background check when choosing a debt consolidation program. I had a similar experience to many others that I ended up paying more than if I had paid myself and ended with my credit being in the toilet and now dealing with an IRS issue. Don't use this group!
Worst decision we ever made!!! We paid in over 24k, they paid out smaller accounts for more than we actually owed from the start. Even the lawyer said it was handled wrong, then ghosted us. They’re a total scam, they don’t handle anything and cost you twice as much and were being served with papers again threatening wage garnishments for things they didn’t handle. Worst company ever and is a total scam they take your money earn interest on it and rob you on a monthly fee that they obviously don’t fix what you signed off on.
First, I have a creditor sending me threatening notices. This is a creditor that was supposedly taken care of through stone point years ago. Second, I tried to email this concern to them and was told I would need to call customer service. I waited on hold for over an hour and never got through because it was closing time at 5 so still no help. They only have hours during my working hours which makes it difficult to get in touch. The absolute worst customer service through the entire process. Find another way.
They took my money and continued drafting money when my payments have already ended and they do not answer the phones when you call them. They overdraft my account which cause me over 300 in nsf for money that they should not be drafting. The fees I paid them were high to leave me in limbo and being served summons when supposedly they paid it. One they don’t listen. Canceled about 14 days ago and had money in there bank! I was told 7-10 business days for the money. Called back 10 business days later oh you need to call thins number to have your fund’s returned to you! And your last payment went out on Friday. So I called canceled and they still sent in a payment after I told all those have been removed from my Credit report! So now about 300 less than original and have to say 7-10 business day…
