Same review different site...I am going thru the effort so people who are shopping for quotes come across this...
I recently had the pleasure of working with Pete and his team on a 600sq ft patio that included a gas fire pit as well as accent lighting. To preface this review I am an advocate of customer service and communication..this review will be a bit long but I want to explain the process from start to finish..because each step of the way Pete exceeded expectations.
I sent out maybe 5-6 emails one night in April to different hardscape contractors around 800pm after my wife and I agreed it was time to pull the trigger. I put together a boiler plate email explaining the scope of work as well as my limited availability during the week. Pete emailed me at 830pm saying hey appreciate you reaching out..completely understand you work late..I can come out tomorrow at 730pm if that works.
I pride myself on after hrs responses to my customers so Pete was already good in my book.
He came out the next day..we stood on the original deck from 1965 and I described what we were looking to do..which included a total of 30 linear ft of seating wall that i had envisioned .
We sat in my kitchen and he did what no other contractor had done...he outlined the project by line item and cost. So I could pick and choose what made sense ascetically and from a budget perspective. He was adamant about reducing my 30 ft wall to 12-14 (wait that drops the price) but also said..Hey we can leave space for it if you want to add it in the future.
My wife and I had a certain Unilock Brussels block picked out..he said great but you need to see it in person. Again..no other contractor suggested or in Pete's case required it.
Low an behold we ended up switching stone after seeing it in person.
Fast forward to day one ...he personally showed up each day and explained exactly what they were going to accomplish and each day his team (who could not have been more respectful and professional) hit or exceeded the goal. There were suggestions followed by adjustments all of which improved the project and stayed within the original budget. If anyone has ever gone through any bid process that statement alone should have you excited.
At the end of the day I wish I had the budget and scope of work that would keep Pete and his team working at my house all summer. I use the term "I gotta guy" and I can say without question...(as I have already done with two referrals) If I am ever asked about hardscape...I gotta guy.
Thank you Pete and Team..was an absolute pleasure and I could not be happier with the process or end result.
Pics to come...but wont do it justice...
